Ways to Serve

“Serve the Lord with gladness!” Psalms 100:2

Serving is an offering of our time and talents to the Lord, reflecting Christ’s love to one another. At Trinity Lutheran Church and School, many tasks rely on volunteers like you. And we are grateful for those who serve with gladness.

Serving at Church

Volunteers are a vital part of our community—both at church and at school. Events can’t happen and improvements can’t take place without the help of our dedicated volunteers. God has blessed each of us with different gifts and talents. Volunteering is a wonderful way to use those gifts while supporting your church. At Trinity Lutheran we rely on many volunteers.

  • Church Officers
  • Board Members
  • Sunday School Leaders
  • Children’s Ministry Workers
  • Youth and Family Ministry Leaders
  • Adult Ministry Leaders
  • School Volunteers
  • Technology Volunteers
  • Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Workers

Thank you for serving!

Volunteer at Our School

Volunteering is a great way to get to know other Trinity Lutheran families and be involved with your child’s education. We invite you to participate in the following school activities.

Classroom Helpers
From assisting with class parties to reading with students, we welcome your help in the classroom. If you’d like to get involved, please contact your child’s teacher.

Parent Teacher League (PTL)
Our parent organization meets several times during the school year to share information about our school and community and to plan student activities and fundraising events. Learn more about our meetings in our school newsletter.

Field Day
Each spring, we host an in-house field day for all preschool through second-grade students. Parent volunteers help manage the games and events and serve lunch.

Field Trips
Since Trinity Lutheran does not have a school bus, we rely on parent volunteers to drive for and chaperone our educational field trips. In addition to regular volunteer requirements, all volunteer drivers must submit current proof of insurance for your vehicle and a copy of your driver’s license for school records.

Maintenance
We schedule all-church and all-school workdays to care for our building and grounds. Volunteers may help with lawn care, pressure washing, painting, deep cleaning, repair work, organizing, and sorting.

School Lunch
We are happy to have middle school parents serve in our cafeteria. We apply all proceeds for these planned lunches to our middle school trips.

Small Group Committees
Our small group committees volunteer in specific ways throughout the school, including collecting and distributing school uniforms, school security, school parties, teacher appreciation week, fundraising, field day, school musical, Pork-Chop-on-a-Stick day, and more. Sign-up for an area of interest to you at our PTL meetings.
