Preschool

Trinity Lutheran’s preschool program seeks to provide a well-balanced Christian program to meet the needs of parents in our school and community. We want our children to grow spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally, and in their social skills.

Our preschool program is licensed for children ages two-and-a-half to six who are potty-trained. We accept CCAP payments in Weld County and limit enrollment to 16 children per class (with two teachers) to ensure each child receives the attention and care they deserve. Our flexible scheduling and after school childcare can accommodate many family needs.

We are proud of our 3-star rating with Colorado Shines!

Our Curriculum

We believe that children learn best from hands-on experiences facilitated by nurturing adults. At Trinity, students get a jump-start on the school experience and receive quality care in a distinctly Christian environment. Lead teachers use the Second Step curriculum and develop a thematic scope and sequence schedule to develop the academic, character, and Biblical literacy of all students who meet Colorado’s developmental guidelines

We offer two preschool classrooms—one for students who are preparing for kindergarten and one for younger children. Teachers set up their classrooms to stimulate creative expression, STEM exploration, dramatic play, and motor skill development. Children have access to books throughout the day as teachers read with students individually, in small groups, or as a whole group. Children may also “read” on their own at will.

Each of our lead teachers has a degree in education and over a decade of experience. They work with a classroom assistant to keep group sizes small and offer an individualized learning experience for each child.

Schedule a Tour

We invite you to contact our preschool director and set up a tour of our facilities. We find it’s best to visit when you can see our classrooms and watch our teachers in action.

After the tour, you will receive an enrollment application and additional paperwork. Please complete and return your paperwork as soon as possible to reserve a spot in our program.

Facility Overview
Each of our classrooms is equipped with age-appropriate furniture and learning materials and a private bathroom. The preschool has a fenced play yard, separate from the elementary students, and a full-size gym that is available during harsh weather.

All exterior doors remain locked throughout the day. Parents, please use your access code to enter the building outside of regular drop-off and pick-up times.

Classroom Communication

After enrollment, we provide all families with access to Brightwheel, our payment and communications app. Please download the app to your phone or sign in regularly online to pay tuition, check students in and out, and communicate with your child’s teacher.

Teachers also communicate through weekly newsletters emailed to your preferred address and posted on our news page, daily notes in your child’s cubby, and our parent bulletin board located at the school entrance. Please watch for each of these methods to keep informed of all that’s happening at school. In the case of an emergency, we will notify you by phone. Be sure to keep your contact information up to date.
