Part of Our Ministry

Centered on Christ.

The Foundry is part of the ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church & School, and our life together here is centered on Jesus Christ.

Our instructors come from our church, our school, and the wider community, and they teach not only practical skills but care, patience, and character.

Families of every background are warmly welcome, whether or not they are part of Trinity. You don’t have to be a member here to belong at The Foundry.

How It Works

Fridays, all day, in 8-week sessions.

The Foundry meets on Fridays during the school year.

Students move through a series of classes throughout the day, beginning in the morning and continuing into the afternoon. Classes run in 8-week sessions, allowing students to develop skills and then move on to new areas over the course of the year.

Who It’s For

Made for homeschoolers — shared with our whole school.

The Foundry is designed with homeschool families in mind. Your children join Trinity Lutheran’s full-time students in the same classes, taught by the same instructors—one shared community for a day of hands-on learning each week.

The Foundry welcomes:

  • Homeschool students from across the community
  • Students enrolled full-time at Trinity Lutheran School

Homeschool families take part while continuing their primary education at home—no full-time enrollment required. Everyone learns side by side, whatever the rest of their week looks like.

Tuition

Simple tuition for homeschool families.

Foundry tuition is $1,200 per homeschool student for the 2026–2027 school year. For students enrolled full time at Trinity Lutheran School, the Foundry is already part of their tuition—there’s no separate charge. Homeschool families can choose the plan that fits:

Pay in full$1,200per homeschool student

Due by the first Foundry Friday, August 21, 2026.

Monthly$120/moper homeschool student

10 payments, due the 1st of each month, August through May.

Offset tuition by pitching in. Through our Family Partnership program, families earn a $150 credit for every 10 hours they volunteer with The Foundry—up to $300 for your first enrolled student, plus $150 for each additional student. Credits carry over to the next year.

Joining after the year begins? Tuition is prorated to the months remaining, so you only pay for the part of the year your child takes part.

Nothing is due at signup. Enroll now and pay any time through the Family Portal—we’ll send reminders as each payment comes due.

What Students Experience

Learning by doing.

Students learn by doing—building, creating, and working through real tasks alongside others.

Summer Camp

The Foundry Summer Camp

We held our first Foundry Summer Camp in 2026—a few mornings of hands-on classes like woodworking, archery, art, and music for students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade, led by instructors from our school, church, and community. It was a joy, and we’re looking forward to doing it again in 2027.

Registration for next summer opens ahead of the season. If you’d like us to let you know when it’s open, reach out and we’ll be in touch.
